Barcelona have been reluctant to let first-team players leave this January transfer window, however, reports are now stating they are willing to listen to offers for certain players.

With Barca returning to the 1:1 rule, it has opened the door for Deco to sign replacements for players if they do depart this winter.

Despite this news, it is believed that one of the players that Blaugrana are not willing to lose is Ronald Araujo, whose future has been the subject of major speculation due to his contract expiring in 2026.

Now, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via SPORT, has claimed that Juventus are set to send an offer to Barcelona this week for the Uruguayan centre-back.

The offer is reported to be a loan deal with an obligation to buy next summer for a significant fee, as well as the Serie A side covering his salary this season.

Barca are said to not be interested in this deal, however, Joan Laporta and the board will also not want to lose Araujo for free and next summer would be the last chance to sell him for a notable fee.

The 25-year-old recently made his first appearance this season for Hansi Flick’s side in the 4-0 win against UD Barbastro in the Copa Del Rey after suffering a hamstring injury before the season started.

Pau Cubarsí and Iñigo Martínez have become mainstays in Flick’s starting 11 this campaign and it remains to be seen if Araujo comes straight back into the XI.

If the Blaugrana decide to sell the Uruguayan then there would not be a lack of interest as European giants Bayern Munich and Manchester United have previously been linked with the highly-rated centre-back.
