It is no secret that Barcelona are still in a very bad situation financially and with La Liga and RFEF rejecting the registration of Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, it only cements that thought even more.
Even though Barça are currently unable to register the pair, it doesn’t mean they cannot plan for future potential transfers.
Whilst it is unlikely that Hansi Flick’s side will be able to spend much money next summer, there are plenty of quality players who are set to become free agents in July.
One of those is Tottenham Hotspurs Son Heung-min who has just entered the final 6 months of his contract with the Premier League side.
El Nacional are reporting that Barcelona are monitoring the South Korean’s future and the chance to sign him for free is something that the ‘Blaugrana board cannot ignore’.
The report also states that Ange Postecoglou’s side are determined not to lose their star player for free and that they are currently working on a renewal for the 32-year-old.
Son currently has five goals and six assists in the Premier League this campaign, in a Spurs side that are struggling to find form.
