A common saying in coding goes, “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.” This idea often extends into life, manifesting as superstitions where success becomes tied to certain habits or routines.

In the world of sports, superstitions are especially prevalent. Tennis icon Rafael Nadal, who recently retired from the sport, is one of the most famous examples of a highly superstitious athlete.

His elaborate pre-match rituals are legendary and highlight how deeply ingrained such habits can be in professional sports.

Similarly, many footballers also have their quirks and superstitions.

Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado, in an interview cited by SPORT, admitted he has his own peculiar habits, though not as extreme as Nadal’s. He shared, “I’m quite particular, though maybe not as much as Rafael Nadal.

For example, I prefer the volume to always be a multiple of six because I used to wear the number 6 jersey. I don’t know why—it just gives me peace. Even my shoes are arranged in a specific way, both at home and on the field. I’m a very organized person.”

Although Casado now wears the #17 jersey for Barcelona, his structured approach remains consistent.

His impressive performances have caught attention, including a standout showing for Spain’s senior team in a recent match.
