Manchester United could make a SECOND bid for Barcelona defender, after first offer was rejected.

Manchester United have reportedly increased their offer for France international Jules Koundé after seeing their initial bid turned down by Barcelona.
Earlier reports suggested that Koundé, capable of playing both as a center-back and a right-back, was one of Erik ten Hag’s top targets upon joining the club.
According to sources in Spain, the Frenchman remains a priority for Jim Ratcliffe’s transfer plans. However, United’s first offer of €45m (£37.5m) was swiftly rejected by Barcelona president Joan Laporta and Sporting Director Deco.
Determined to secure the 26-year-old, United have returned with a significantly improved bid, this time offering €68m (£57m).
The Premier League side recognizes Koundé’s rising stock after his exceptional performances this season under Barcelona manager Hansi Flick.
Despite the increased offer, Barcelona remain firm in their stance.
The Catalan club has no intention of entertaining offers for the versatile defender, who they see as irreplaceable. Club sources insist that there are currently no players on the market who could fill Koundé’s role in their squad.
United now face a tough challenge in their pursuit, as Barcelona’s unwavering position emphasizes just how crucial Koundé is to their plans moving forward.
