Barcelona defender Jules Koundé has expressed his opinion on Vinícius Jr. The Brazilian winger in the upcoming El Clásico matchup is the biggest threat to his team.
He has been gaining attention with a standout performance in Europe, particularly in Real Madrid’s Champions League game against Bayern Munich, which silenced any doubts about his abilities.
After falling two goals behind, Madrid mounted an impressive comeback with Vinícius scoring a second-half hat-trick, leading his team to a 5-2 victory. This performance further solidified the 24-year-old’s place as a leading contender for the Ballon d’Or, with many tipping him to win the prestigious award at next week’s ceremony in Paris.
In a recent interview with SportyTV before the Clásico, Koundé highlighted Vinícius as Real Madrid’s main threat.
Addressing the prospect of facing Vinícius at the Bernabéu, Koundé stated, “Am I afraid of Viní Jr.? No, not afraid. He is the frontrunner for the Ballon d’Or. I welcome the challenge ahead. I would classify him as the most significant danger.”
