Per recent reports, Liverpool is targeting Barcelona’s Jules Kounde and is willing to make a significant effort to sign him as a potential substitute for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Arne Slot’s team may submit a formal bid of around £42 million (€50 million) for the French player, but Barcelona is not interested in selling. Kounde, who is currently making approximately £217,000 weekly, has more than two and a half years left on his contract with the Catalan club.

Barcelona, while not actively seeking a sale, may face a challenge to resist a bid surpassing €60 million from Liverpool.

Kounde, a flexible defender, demonstrated his skills at center-back with Sevilla and has impressed as a right-back for Barcelona and the French national team.

Barcelona holds the top spot in La Liga at present, with Kounde contributing to two goal involvements and aiding in securing two clean sheets for the team.
