According to Sport, Barcelona has pinpointed Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey as a primary target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

Reports indicate that Partey is not expected to be offered a contract extension, resulting in his current £200,000-a-week deal expiring in 2025, as reported by TEAMtalk.

The Catalan club has been intrigued by this development, particularly following their failed attempt to acquire him last summer, as manager Mikel Arteta was adamant about retaining him.

Barcelona’s current constraints in the transfer market heighten the appeal of Partey’s potential availability to their board. Contract negotiations with the Ghanaian player are scheduled to commence in January.

If Partey opts to depart next summer, Arsenal must start identifying potential replacements. An intriguing possibility for consideration is Adam Wharton of Crystal Palace, as he presents a unique style of play.
