According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is currently focusing on preparations for the upcoming season and is actively seeking a new right-back.
Despite Jules Kounde’s consistent performance in this position throughout the current season, the club is exploring future possibilities for the role.
Concerns are also arising regarding Kounde’s workload. While slated to participate in the upcoming Champions League fixture against Young Boys, it is evident that he will eventually require a respite.
Presently, Kounde holds the position as the squad’s sole reliable right-back. Barcelona’s search for a successor to Joao Cancelo was impeded by financial limitations during the recent transfer window.
The club recognizes the necessity of bolstering depth in this position and has initiated efforts to identify a suitable candidate for acquisition in the upcoming summer.
