Barcelona has identified a designated goalkeeper to eventually succeed Marc-André ter Stegen.

Mundo Deportivo reports that recent information from the club’s influential circle suggests that Deco and his team are interested in acquiring Porto’s first-choice goalkeeper, Diogo Costa.

Costa, the Portuguese national player, has been under the observation of Barcelona’s scouting unit for an extended period and is highly valued within the club’s sports structure.

With a young age of 25, Costa is seen as the ideal solution to eventually replace Ter Stegen at Camp Nou.

Nevertheless, any prospective move for him is improbable until Barcelona attains a firmer financial foundation.
