Heading into the summer transfer window, it seems like Deco is mainly focusing on forwards.

Liverpool’s Luis Diaz is seen as a solid option to occupy the left-hand side.

Meanwhile, Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Lille’s Jonathan David have both been linked as long-term Robert Lewandowski replacements.

In midfield, there does not seem to be much urgency, especially as the core of Hansi Flick’s midfield is very young.

Pedri, Gavi, Fermin Lopez and Marc Casado are all under the age of 23-years-old.

Meanwhile, the likes of Dani Olmo and Frenkie de Jong provide the experience in the centre of the field.

Whilst the defence is another good strength of Barca, it could be improved.

Ronald Araujo’s future is still uncertain, especially with him reportedly having a release clause in his contract.

Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen are also expected to depart, which could open the door for a surprise centre-back signing.

TBR Football have now claimed that the centre-back to come in could be Bournemouth’s Dean Huijsen.

The Blaugrana would especially like the 19-year-old if they can move Christensen on this summer.

It is understood that the 19-year-old is favouring a move to La Liga, despite heavy interest from top Premier League clubs.

Unfortunately for the Blaugrana, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid are also monitoring the teenager ahead of next summer.

Huijsen, who reportedly has a €50million release clause has burst onto the scene this season with Bournemouth after joining last summer from Juventus for €18million.

Due to this impressive form, the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are all being heavily linked with the Spaniard.

Even though Huijsen is Dutch-born, his family moved to Spain at a young age and he recently changed international allegiance to La Roja.

A duo of Pau Cubarsi and Huijsen for the next 10-plus years could be too good of an opportunity to pass up for Barcelona.

Time will only tell but beating as many teams to his signature would be a massive statement by the Blaugrana.
