Going into the summer transfer market, Barcelona are expected to sign a forward player who can play multiple positions.

With the Blaugrana not having a natural left winger and also needing a striker who can replace Robert Lewandowski, it is set to be a big operation. 

Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak has been spoken about but the price the Premier League side is asking seems to be out of Barcas’ range. 

Another option is Luis Diaz, who has been admired by Deco for a long time and is set to be high on the club’s list.

Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez pushes for Barcelona move

Fichajes have reported that Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez, who is expected to depart Anfield next summer, has offered himself to Barca as a possible long-term replacement for Lewandowski.

The Uruguayan forward missed a decisive penalty in the Champions League against PSG, which subsequently resulted in the Premier League side’s elimination from the competition.

It is stated that Joan Laporta has received the offer, however, his possible move is not widely agreed upon within the Catalan club.

Despite being talented and hardworking, the board is doubting his ability to lead Flick’s front line, as this season, under Liverpool’s new coach Arne Slot, he has mostly been relegated to the bench. 

The final decision is set to be with Flick, who will reportedly evaluate whether Nunez fits into the project Barça want to build.
