Barcelona have said that Robert Lewandowski is fit to play against Benfica.

The Polish forward was left out of the squad that was scheduled to face Osasuna on Saturday evening, but the game was postponed owing to the death of club doctor Carles Minarro.

Looking ahead to the second leg of Barcelona’s European match against Benfica, Flick said his frontman would be in the squad this week.
“Lewandowski is back and available to play tomorrow. He is in top form; we decided to rest him on Saturday. In the training session before the game, he felt some discomfort due to fatigue, so we decided to rest him.”
As spectacular as Lewandowski’s 34 goals in all competitions, his record of appearing in the matchday squad for all 41 of the club’s games this season may be even more astounding for a 36-year-old. Barcelona has decided to keep Lewandowski for another season due to his endurance and efficiency.
Barcelona fans hope to have an in-form Lewandowski in the match against Benfica to help them qualify for the next round in the UCL. As widely known, an in-form Lewandowski is a threat to opponents and a guarantee of match victory.
