Wednesday’s Champions League tie against Benfica is still a big talking point and jubilation is still present amongst club officials.

However, on Saturday the focus returns back the league, where Barcelona are currently one point ahead of Atletico Madrid.

This game week, Hansi Flick’s side will face Osasuna, who beat the Blaugrana 4-2 in the reverse fixture last year.

However, the German has had some positive news about two starting players who were potential doubts heading into the weekend.

Gavi and Balde injury update

Mundo Deportivo, cited by Managing Barca, have claimed that Gavi and Alejandro Balde trained normally ahead of the Osasuna match.

Gavi missed Barcelona’s recent visit to Benfica due to a fever and Balde was an injury concern after the game finished.

Thankfully the duo are set to be in the squad in what could be a very important game, especially when you consider that Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid have tough opponents this weekend.

Real are facing off against Getafe, who are always difficult to play against and Atleti will visit Rayo Vallecano who on their day play some amazing football.

Hopefully, the Madrid clubs can drop even more points and let Barca increase their lead at the top of the La Liga standings even more.
