Real Sociedad will visit Catalonia on Sunday to face off against Barcelona who are currently sitting top of the La Liga standings.

The San Sebastian side are currently 9th in the table but considering their start to the season they have done very well to climb back up from the relegation zone.

Sociedad were narrowly beaten in the Copa del Rey semi-final against Real Madrid so they will be hopeful they have a chance to get something against Hansi Flick’s side

Barcelona v Real Sociedad team news

Unfortunately for the Txuri-urdin, they are set to be missing seven first-team players, something that will surely hurt them against Barcelona’s attack.

Real Sociedad absentees

Takefusa Kubo – Suspended

Sheraldo Becker – Suspended

Nayef Aguerd – Suspended

Álvaro Odriozola – Physical discomfort / Doubtful

Arsen Zakharyan – Thigh injury / Late March 2025

Jon Pacheco – Muscle injury / Mid March 2025

Meanwhile, Barcelona only have one new injury concern and thankfully for Flick, it is not a first-team player.

Barcelona absentees

Andreas Christensen – Foot injury / Late March 2025

Marc Bernal – Cruciate ligament injury / Out for season

Marc-Andre ter Stegen – Cruciate ligament injury / Out for season
