Barcelona are making a statement this season with impressive, consistent performances at a high level. From the old to the young, all players perform at an expected level that is good enough to cover for injuries.

Barcelona have a load of players on the bench who are good enough to be in the starting XI this season. This has given Hansi Flick the liberty to change his starting XI, as was seen against Las Palmas.

Barcelona’s Bench Players to Break Past Record

Barcelona’s bench players are not ideal, considering other clubs’ status, as they could easily be starters in those clubs.

Against Las Palmas, Hansi Flick rotated his squad a little and rested Inigo Martinez while bringing in Eric Garcia and Fermin Lopez.

Eric Garcia, who started ahead of Iñigo, performed at a high level as the veteran was rested with Atlético in mind.

Dani Olmo replaced Fermin Lopez in the second half and scored the first goal following some impressive footwork.

Later on, Ferran Torres came in and was quiet at the initial point but still scored the second goal towards the end of the game.

Ferran Correas highlighted that Barça’s substitutes have scored 18 goals in all competitions this season, with just one goal remaining to break the club record (19).

As expected, Ferran Torres leads the chart with six. Four months are left to break the record, which seems easy and could be broken in Tuesday’s clash against Atletico Madrid.
