All eyes would be on Barcelona’s match with Rayo Vallecano at the Estadi Lluis Companys/Olympic Stadium at 20:00 GMT after the other title contenders dropped points in a thrilling weekend match.

As Hansi Flick said, Barcelona’s recent form and impressive team mentality are the biggest motivation for the crucial match.

Notwithstanding, Rayo Vallecano manager Iñigo Pérez made a strong claim in yesterday’s pre-match conference.

The words of Iñigo Pérez, ‘We can beat them,’ echo his team’s confidence and hopes among rivals that the underdog might cause an upset, leaving the Catalan stranded at home.

On the bright side, Barcelona has an excellent recent record against Rayo Vallecano and has won 17 out of the last 28 matches played between the two teams, which is something to be confident about.

On the other hand, Rayo Vallecano has been undefeated in Laliga since December 2024, with an impressive 9-game streak and counting.

Barcelona has played against Rayo Vallecano in 1 match this season in which the Spanish giant won 2-1, a game that saw Dani Olmo debut for a second time, hitting the ‘Dame Time’ celebration.

Currently, Barcelona ranks 3rd, while Rayo Vallecano holds 6th position.
