The one position that Hansi Flick has wanted to add to his team this month is a left winger and it was expected to be Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has reportedly made a move to the Catalonian side his priority, even willing to lower his salary to help the loan move materialise.

Unfortunately, due to his large salary, as well as not being able to make room in the wage bill, the transfer is looking less and less likely each day.

However, if the Blaugrana do miss out on the 27-year-old, they could have the option to sign another left winger from Manchester.

In a report by Sport, it has been claimed that Man City’s Jeremy Doku has offered himself to numerous European clubs, including Barca.

The transfer would be a six-month loan as the Belgian winger sees his place in Pep Guardiola’s team ‘under threat’.

City have just signed Omar Marmoush from Eintracht Frankfurt and Doku also has to compete for minutes with £100million Jack Grealish as well as Savinho.

Even though the 22-year-old is only on a reported salary of £50k per week, the article claims Barca would still have to sell someone to make room for him to join this month.

Eric Garcia, Ansu Fati and Ronald Araujo are all now staying at the club, but there is one player who could leave and make a deal possible, Andreas Christensen.

The defender has just returned from a long-term injury and with Araujo signing a new deal, he is unlikely to get many minutes under Flick.

It is a race against time though as the transfer windows in Europe are all set to close in the coming days, making deals a lot more complicated and rushed.
