Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has earned widespread praise for his seamless adjustment to life in Catalonia and the remarkable transformation he has brought to the club.

His impact has been especially impressive given the lack of significant reinforcements this summer, with Dani Olmo being the only notable addition to the squad.

Doubts were initially raised about Flick’s ability to embrace Barcelona’s unique culture and his commitment to integrating talent from La Masia.

However, Sport revealed that his meticulous preparation during a three-hour meeting with Sporting Director Deco played a crucial role in securing the job. Flick’s deep understanding of the club, its players, and its identity stood out.

He had compiled detailed reports on both the first-team and Barca Atlètic players, which he used to outline his vision for their development.

Flick specifically identified Marc Casado, Marc Bernal, and Pau Víctor as players to promote to the senior squad.

All three were involved on the opening day of the season, with Casado now playing a pivotal role in midfield. Unfortunately, Bernal’s progress was hindered by injury.

Beyond tactical improvements, Flick has fostered a positive atmosphere within the squad, while enhanced fitness levels under a new coaching staff have further boosted performance. His quiet, focused approach has been central to Barcelona’s resurgence.
