FC Barcelona is said to be targeting Chelsea in anticipation of the upcoming winter transfer window, with their sights set on two particular players.
Under the guidance of new head coach Enzo Maresca, Chelsea has been on an undefeated streak in the Premier League following their loss to Manchester City on the opening day, currently holding fourth place after seven matches.
Despite having a substantial squad, Maresca has promptly set his favored lineup, resulting in some players receiving limited playing time and potentially becoming transfer targets.
Romeo Lavia, who experienced injury setbacks last season following his £58 million move from Southampton, has featured in just three matches this season due to a recent hamstring problem.
Meanwhile, Carney Chukwuemeka has faced challenges in earning playing time, being limited to appearances in the Carabao Cup.
Reports from Spain suggest that Hansi Flick’s Barcelona is keeping a close watch on these Chelsea midfielders. Deco has shown a long-standing interest in Lavia, having previously made an attempt to sign him. Chukwuemeka is considered a promising choice.
