Chelsea, along with clubs from the Saudi Pro League, were unable to secure the transfer of Barcelona’s star forward, Raphinha, during the summer.
Per Miguel Rico, Raphinha declined lucrative offers from multiple Saudi teams and Chelsea in the recent transfer window, choosing to stay at Barcelona.
The Brazilian winger rose to prominence at Leeds United, garnering attention from several clubs due to his impressive performances.
Chelsea had shown a strong interest in securing his signature in previous instances. The club made a significant financial offer to lure him to Stamford Bridge, however, Raphinha decided to join Barcelona instead, agreeing to a reduced salary to play for the Catalan team.
The future of the 27-year-old winger seemed uncertain during the summer, despite his impressive performances.
