Raphinha has been strongly linked to a potential transfer to Newcastle. Earlier reports this summer suggested that Barcelona was willing to sell him to raise money to sign Nico Williams, a standout player from Euro 2024.

Raphinha has had an impressive beginning to the season, scoring three goals and setting up two more in only four La Liga games.

Barcelona may still be thinking about selling him, despite his impressive performance. Newcastle is reportedly willing to pay the €60 million fee requested by Barcelona to seal the deal, as per a report from Spain.

The report goes on to explain that Newcastle had in-depth discussions with Barcelona president Joan Laporta during the summer, but their proposals were swiftly turned down. Laporta allegedly demanded a payment of €60 million.

Newcastle is now completely convinced of Raphinha’s worth and is prepared to start fresh negotiations to finalize his transfer.
