Barcelona has been facing challenges in their pursuit of rejuvenating their offensive options for Hansi Flick. Consequently, they are exploring the chance of recruiting Rafael Leao from AC Milan or Federico Chiesa from Juventus.
As per reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, corroborating earlier claims by Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona is actively seeking a top-tier attacking winger and has initiated initial discussions regarding Leao with his representative, Jorge Mendes.
Despite the discussions being in a preliminary phase and no concrete offer being put forward, finalizing a deal for Leao is proving to be complex.
The stumbling block is the club’s inability to meet his €175 million release clause, which expired on July 15. Furthermore, AC Milan is unwilling to part with him without sufficient time to secure a replacement.
On the other hand, there is a different prospect with Chiesa. The player is eager about the idea of joining Barcelona, and Juventus has been looking for a suitable destination for him. This convergence of interests indicates a potentially favorable outcome for both sides.
