Barcelona’s plans for Ansu Fati’s future are currently up in the air. Despite making a strong impression on Hansi Flick during pre-season and gaining the manager’s confidence, the club’s sports department is advocating for his departure, ideally through a permanent transfer but also willing to consider a loan move.

Sevilla is among the clubs showing interest and could benefit from a potential loan deal.

According to Diario Sport, Barcelona is keen on shedding Fati’s substantial wages, especially given the likelihood of him not being a regular starter following Dani Olmo’s arrival.

His injury history and the emergence of Pau Victor during pre-season have also undermined his status within the squad.

Should Barcelona decide to part ways with Fati, it would contradict Flick’s preferences.

Although Fati could still prove to be an important asset to the team if he rediscovers his past form, there are valid concerns about his ability to achieve that.
