Newcastle United is reportedly preparing to make a bid for Raphinha, according to Mundo Deportivo’s report, as they face competition from Arsenal in the Premier League.
The Gunners are considering an offer between €45-50 million for the Barcelona winger, and it remains uncertain where his future lies.
There is a possibility that the South American winger may be put on the market this summer.
Although Raphinha has made a positive impact since joining the Blaugrana, he is not considered indispensable. Consequently, Barcelona might entertain the idea of selling him if a substantial offer is presented.
The real challenge for Newcastle lies in persuading Raphinha to join them despite their lack of European football.
At the peak of his career, Raphinha aspires to compete at the highest level. Therefore, a move to Arsenal may hold more appeal for him than a transfer to Newcastle.
