Barcelona have confirmed their squad for the Galatasaray clash after officially launching the list of available players.
The Catalans will travel to Turkey on Tuesday, October 13, aiming to continue their impressive start to the 2026/27 campaign across domestic and European competitions.
The major talking point from the squad announcement is the absence of Raphinha, who has been ruled out after picking up an injury while representing Brazil during the international break.
The Brazilian winger’s absence is a significant setback for Flick, considering his importance to Barcelona’s attacking setup.
The club is taking a cautious approach to his recovery, preferring not to risk aggravating the problem ahead of a demanding run of fixtures, as per the official Barcelona statement.
The squad list also confirms that Frenkie de Jong and Andreas Christensen will miss the encounter.
De Jong continues his recovery from an injury and has returned to on-pitch training, but the Dutch midfielder is not yet ready to rejoin the matchday squad.
Christensen, meanwhile, remains unavailable after sustaining a muscle injury during Barcelona’s recent match against Sevilla.
Roony Bardghji is another absentee for the trip to Istanbul, leaving Flick without several options as Barcelona prepare for their first away fixture of this season’s Champions League league phase.
Joan Garcia, Wojciech Szczesny and Dominik Livakovic have been included among the goalkeeping options.
In defence, Flick can call upon Jules Kounde, Pau Cubarsi, Alejandro Balde, Joao Cancelo, Eric Garcia, Gerard Martin, Xavi Espart and Brian Farinas.
Barcelona’s midfield options include Pedri, Gavi, Fermin Lopez, Dani Olmo, Marc Bernal and Rodri.
Meanwhile, the attacking department features Lamine Yamal, Gabriel Jesus, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Hamza Abdelkarim, giving Flick several alternatives to compensate for Raphinha’s absence.
Barcelona head into the contest after securing a 3-0 victory over Getafe in La Liga, maintaining their strong momentum.
