€75m Manchester United attacker wanted by Barcelona

FC Barcelona have identified a highly-rated €75m attacker from Manchester United as one of their top targets.

While head coach Hansi Flick has successfully unlocked fluid offensive systems this season, the Catalan hierarchy remains keenly aware of the need to recruit a true physical focal point in the coming years.

According to TuttoJuve, sporting director Deco is building a comprehensive list of elite European strikers ahead of future transfer windows to ensure a seamless transition up front.

The marquee target situated firmly on Barcelona’s radar is 23-year-old Manchester United striker Benjamin Šeško.

The Slovenian international, who currently carries an estimated valuation of €75 million, has attracted attention from major continental suitors, with both Barcelona and Serie A giants Juventus credited with genuine interest in a potential move in the summer of 2027.

Having established himself as a dominant presence in England, Šeško’s combination of imposing height, box awareness, and technical link-up play makes him an intriguing candidate for Europe’s elite.

For Barcelona, identifying the right profile to eventually lead the line post-Robert Lewandowski remains a high-priority structural task.

Standing at 1.95m, Šeško provides a classic target-man profile capable of dominating aerial duels and holding off center-backs under pressure.

However, internal discussions at Spotify Camp Nou continue to weigh whether a traditional poacher or a more fluid, position-rotating forward aligns better with Flick’s high-intensity pressing dynamics and vertical playstyle.

While executing a €75 million transaction presents financial hurdles that require careful planning, Barcelona are keeping their options entirely open.

Juventus are actively exploring the striker’s situation as part of their own squad restructuring, meaning Barcelona will face stiff competition should they decide to convert passive scouting into a formal push.

As Deco and his recruitment staff monitor Šeško’s progression in the Premier League, the Slovenian star remains a primary option in their long-term positional planning.
