FC Barcelona have officially unveiled their 22-man squad for the season-opening La Liga fixture against Rayo Vallecano.
Hansi Flick’s side head into the fixture looking to maintain their perfect start to the 2026/27 league campaign after securing victories in their opening two matches.
The Catalan giants will be aiming for another strong performance on home soil as they continue their title defence.
The squad announced by Barcelona includes Joan Garcia, Wojciech Szczesny and Eder Aller as the available goalkeepers.
In defence, Flick has selected Joao Cancelo, Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsi, Xavi Espart, Andreas Christensen, Gerard Martin, Jules Kounde and Eric Garcia.
The midfield options consist of Fermin Lopez, Pedri, Rodri, Dani Olmo, Marc Bernal and Brian Farinas, while the attacking group features Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon and Hamza Abdelkarim.
The announcement also confirms that several familiar names will not be available for the match.
Gavi, Frenkie de Jong and Roony Bardghji remain sidelined with injuries, while Marc Casado has been left out of the squad as he prepares for a potential departure from the club.
The absence of these midfield options leaves Flick with fewer choices in the centre of the pitch, although the German coach still has considerable depth at his disposal.
One of the notable details surrounding the squad is the continued presence of young players.
Another talking point is the absence of new signing Dominik Livakovic from the squad.
The Croatian goalkeeper has not yet been officially registered for the match and will therefore have to wait for his Barcelona debut.
Flick’s team have also kept clean sheets in both games, giving them confidence heading into the Rayo Vallecano encounter.
With the squad now officially announced, attention will turn to Flick’s starting XI and the tactical decisions he makes for the third league fixture.
Barcelona will be looking to extend their winning run and continue their strong beginning to the new La Liga season.
