Barcelona’s aspirations of securing their top target, Nico Williams, seem to be fading with each passing day, but the club may look to a familiar face to replace him.

Barcelona’s hopes of landing their top target, Nico Williams, seem to be dimming by the day. Reports from Spain suggest that Williams is leaning towards staying with Athletic Club for at least another season. However, Barcelona remains optimistic and is eagerly awaiting Nico’s final decision, but are also preparing for the worst.
Surprisingly, Barcelona has been closely monitoring their former player, Joao Felix. According to Adrian Sanchez, Barcelona is not ruling out the possibility of pursuing the Atletico Madrid forward if Nico opts not to join this summer.
This development is quite significant, especially considering that Barcelona wanted an extended loan deal for Felix. However, the club’s interest shifted away from the Portuguese international after Nico’s impressive performances in Euro 2024.
Now, with Nico’s deal hanging in the balance, Barcelona could once again look towards Felix to solve a short term problem.
