Barcelona is eagerly awaiting Nico Williams’ decision on whether he will join them this summer or remain with Athletic Club. It seems Williams is uncertain about joining the Catalan side and is considering delaying the transfer for another year.
There have been cautions from Barcelona to the Spanish star, urging him to make a decision soon. It has been reported by Cadena SER that if he chooses to stay with Athletic, Barcelona will not wait for him next season. In their words, this was Barcelona’s message to Nico:
“The Barça train will pass only now – it won’t come next year”
Should Williams not commit, Barcelona plans to pursue Dani Olmo and is confident about securing a deal to bring him back to Catalonia.
Williams, who played a part in Spain’s Euro 2024 victory in Germany, is currently on holiday. A final decision regarding his future is anticipated this week, per multiple reports.
