FC Barcelona has officially secured its seventh consecutive La Liga title, continuing a historic run of domestic success.

The team delivered a commanding performance against Espanyol at the Ciutat Esportiva Dani Jarque, storming to a 4–1 victory in the Catalan derby and mathematically clinching the league title with four games still to play.

The win was built on strong attacking control and a resilient defensive display, with several players stepping up to ensure the points were never in doubt once the lead was established.

The achievement belongs to Barcelona’s women’s team, with Pere Romeu’s side claiming their seventh consecutive Liga F title and the 11th league crown in the club’s history, as per the official Barcelona statement.

The 4–1 win over Espanyol was sealed by goals from Carla Julià, Caroline Graham Hansen, and a brace from 20‑year‑old Norwegian striker Martine Fenger, ensuring the Blaugranes add another trophy to an already overflowing cabinet.

This season, Barcelona have lost only once in the league, away to Real Sociedad in November, and have already recorded more than 100 goals in the competition — a mark they have now reached six times over the past seven campaigns.

Defensively, the side has also been outstanding, conceding 15 or fewer goals in each of the last seven title‑winning seasons, a testament to their balance between attack and structure.

The triumph also extends Barcelona Femení’s record run of consecutive league championships, making it the second‑longest such streak in top‑level European women’s football, behind only Olympique Lyonnais’ 14 in a row.

Within the squad, names like Alexia Putellas and Aitana Bonmatí have become synonymous with this era, the pair collecting multiple titles and individual honours as the team’s keystone figures.

The 2025/26 league crown keeps Barcelona’s treble and even quadruple ambitions alive, as they now push into the Copa de la Reina final and the UEFA Women’s Champions League semi‑finals still to come.
