Those in charge of Barcelona remain admirers of the German coach as he would be Joan Laporta’s ideal coach if Jurgen Klopp can’t be convinced to take the job. Laporta who continues to show his love for the German school of coaches is said to have made the boys from Germany favorites to take over the managerial role at Barcelona. 

 

However Barcelona Sporting Director Deco seems to be the trusted personnel tasked with the search of a new coach. Whilst Joan Laporta and the board retain the final say, Deco has outlined certain features the next coach should have from a personality level to a philosophy level. 

 

Hansi Flick on the other hand believes his personality and philosophy is in line with the demands of those at Barcelona and as already started to learn spanish with the aim of breaking the language barriers if given the job, a problem stated earlier by Joan Laporta himself. Initial talks has already been held between Deco and Hansi Flick, where the Portugese legend is said to have related Barcelona’s stance to the German manager’s entourage as discussions is expected to continue in the coming weeks.

 

Whilst the search continues, culers are expected to gain a form of clarity in March as Barcelona wants it’s manager to make a thorough evaluation of the squad ahead of the summer transfer window.
