Barça have been linked with him earlier as well but this time, Fabrizio Romano reported that the Swedish Club Djurgården are expected to accept the bid of Barça for the midfielder. The official bid is around €7m fixed fee + €3m in variables. Lucas will join the catalan side from July 1.
The key factor in this deal was the player wish to join Barça and sheer determination to reject other clubs. The Swedish Club even received bids from German Club Eintracht Frankfurt but the player refused all other offers.
