Barcelona’s season has reached one of those moments where setbacks and opportunities collide, and the coming days could shape the mood around the club in a big way.

A bruising night in Madrid has left scars, but there is little time for reflection as attention quickly turns back to domestic matters and a derby that suddenly carries extra weight.

With pressure mounting and questions being asked about momentum, the focus inside the dressing room has shifted to recovery, rhythm and who will be available when it matters most.

There has been frustration, fatigue and a sense that recent fixtures have stretched the squad, especially in wide areas where intensity and work rate are non-negotiable.

That is why news emerging from the training ground this week has been quietly welcomed by the coaching staff and players alike.

Following the heavy 4–0 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey semi-final first leg, the immediate concern was how Barcelona would respond mentally and physically ahead of another demanding test.

The answer may come in the form of a familiar attacking presence, with Barcelona set to receive a timely boost before Monday night’s Catalan derby.

According to AS, Hansi Flick is expected to have one of his most influential wide players back at his disposal for the clash against Girona.

Raphinha has taken an important step forward in his recovery, returning to the pitch on Friday to complete part of the session with the substitutes, which is seen internally as a key milestone.

Raphinha had been sidelined with a muscular overload picked up against Elche, forcing him off at half-time and initially ruling him out for around a week.

However, his recovery proved slower than expected, resulting in missed appearances against Albacete, Mallorca and Atletico Madrid at a time when Barcelona badly needed attacking depth.

Now, though, confidence is growing that medical clearance will arrive in time for Monday, allowing the winger to travel to Montilivi and potentially feature in the derby.

While his role may depend on fitness levels and match rhythm, his return alone offers Barcelona a lift after a damaging night, as they look to reset quickly and show a response when it matters most.
