A season-ending injury to Gavi has sent the club in search of a replacement to fill the void left by the young veteran. Among those mentioned within the club are Giovani Lo Celso, Marc Casado, and Pablo Torre. Lo Celso who has barely played for Spurs since the start of the season, was a request by Xavi earlier on in the summer. While he finds himself not part of the plans at Spurs, the Argentine is in search of a club to reignite his career. With Xavi and the coaching staff still massive admirers of Lo Celso a move in January remains on the table for the Spurs player.

However, if a deal for the Argentine cannot be agreed upon, FC Barcelona is expected to once again look inward to their long list of talents at La Masia with Marc Casado said to be the chosen one. In addition, the return of Pablo Torre serves as another option, the youngster who was sent out on loan to Girona has been unable to gain good minutes on the pitch under head coach Michel. With the lack of minutes halting his development, FC Barcelona could file a return for the young Spaniard.

While the search for a replacement for Gavi continues, Barcelona is looking to reinforce their attacking line come the summer of 2024. Leroy Sane has been the name mentioned within the club, with the German star’s contract said to expire in June 2025. With a possible cheap deal on the cards, interest in Leroy Sane from other clubs such as Real Madrid and Liverpool begins to intensify.

The inability of Barcelona to compete due to financial reasons will most likely force the club into a big sale as interest in Raphinha continues to grow. Reports from England claim the Barcelona winger could make a return to the Premier League with big names like Spurs, Newcastle, Chelsea, and Arsenal keen on signing the Brazilian. While a bidding war appears to be looming, Barcelona will not accept any bid less than €70M for the Brazilian international.
