Barcelona fans are already looking ahead to the next big Champions League clash, but attention off the pitch is increasingly focused on the future of one of their key forwards.

The striker has been central to the Blaugrana’s performances this season, contributing goals, leadership, and experience at crucial moments.

As Europe’s transfer window approaches, speculation over top talents continues to mount, with several clubs keen to move early.

The Catalans are balancing squad strengthening with keeping their star performers motivated, while rivals monitor developments closely.

Interest from abroad shows just how valuable the player remains on the continental stage.

According to SPORT, AC Milan have begun showing serious interest in Robert Lewandowski, Barcelona’s veteran forward, who could be available if he decides not to extend his contract beyond 2026.

The Serie A side’s sporting director, Igle Tare, has reportedly held talks with the striker’s agent, Pini Zahavi, assessing market options and Lewandowski’s intentions.

Milan seem determined to move early, aiming to secure a top European striker if he becomes available on a free transfer next summer.

Robert Lewandowski is now in the final year of his three-year deal with Barcelona, with an optional fourth season also in place.

While he feels capable of performing at the highest level, he is keeping his options open, weighing proposals from elite European clubs while remaining focused on Barcelona’s objectives.

Despite reportedly lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia this summer, which could have tripled his salary, he opted to stay in Europe to compete for major titles.

Looking ahead to 2026, Lewandowski remains open to negotiations, with AC Milan among the serious contenders should he decide to leave.

Barcelona remains his priority, and he may even consider an economic compromise to continue contributing to the club’s project.

However, if an extension doesn’t materialise, Milan and other European clubs could secure one of the continent’s most prolific forwards.
