FC Barcelona has officially unveiled its squad for the upcoming La Liga clashes against Getafe at Estadi Johan Cruyff.

With Hansi Flick at the helm, the Blaugrana aim to close the five-point gap to league leaders Real Madrid, and the squad selection for tonight’s clash reflects a blend of tactical rotation and cautious management amid a congested fixture list.

The official squad list, however, confirms the continued absence of key players Lamine Yamal, Alejandro Balde, and Gavi, all sidelined by injuries, as per the official FC Barcelona X page.

Despite these setbacks, Flick faces a selection dilemma with a talented roster at his disposal.

The German tactician is expected to make several changes to combat Getafe’s compact defensive setup under Jose Bordalas, prioritizing players who can unlock tight spaces and maintain defensive solidity.

In defense, Eric Garcia and Andreas Christensen are likely to start at centre-back, allowing Pau Cubarsi and Ronald Araujo to rest after recent physical concerns.

At left-back, Jofre Torrents could be in line for a maiden start, replacing Gerard Martin, who may be given a breather.

The right-back position remains secure with Jules Kounde.

In midfield, Dani Olmo is poised for a rare start ahead of Fermin Lopez, leveraging his ability to navigate crowded areas, while Marc Casado and Pedri are expected to anchor the engine room after their standout displays.

The attack will likely see Raphinha and Marcus Rashford continue their roles, with Ferran Torres potentially leading the line in place of Robert Lewandowski.

Young prospects Toni Fernandez and Roony Bardghji are included in the squad, raising intrigue about possible second-half appearances.

As Barcelona aim to sustain their attacking flair and defensive resilience, Flick’s rotated lineup will be crucial in securing three points against a resolute Getafe side, setting the tone for their upcoming Champions League clash with PSG.
