Barcelona’s senior side are preparing for a pivotal run of fixtures in both La Liga and the Champions League, with Hansi Flick’s men keen to maintain their unbeaten start.

Hansi Flick has named his squad for Barca’s first Champions League clash against Newcastle.

Lamine Yamal, although injured now, continues to dazzle on the right flank, while Pau Cubarsí’s rapid rise has already drawn comparisons to some of the club’s legendary defenders.

Fans are also eagerly awaiting the return of long-term absentees Pedri and Frenkie de Jong, with the duo edging closer to full fitness and set to bolster the midfield in the coming weeks.

Off the pitch, the Catalan giants have been making headlines after club president Joan Laporta reiterated his commitment to La Masia, promising increased investment in the youth academy despite ongoing financial constraints.

The recent exploits of teenagers like Yamal and Gavi have reinforced the belief that Barcelona’s future remains in safe hands.

With the January transfer window approaching, Flick has also indicated that promoting young talent will remain a priority over big-money signings.

Amid the excitement surrounding the first team, Barcelona’s famous academy has quietly produced yet another gem who is already making waves.

According to MARCA, 11-year-old Destiny Kosiso has been setting astonishing records in the lower age groups and is being tipped as the next big thing to emerge from La Masia.

Destiny Kosiso, born in 2014, has drawn early comparisons to both Lionel Messi and Lamine Yamal thanks to his extraordinary goal-scoring feats.

Last season, he netted an incredible 87 goals in just 22 matches with the U-10s, before adding 58 goals in 30 games for the U-11s.

Now featuring at the Alevin level (U-12s), the young forward has already scored 31 goals in 14 games this term – taking his tally to over 180 goals.

The youngster is the son of former Nigerian footballer Ejike Paschal, and football clearly runs in the family.

His brothers, David Obinna (16) and Divine Ikenna (15), have also been part of Barcelona’s youth set-up, with Obinna now at UE Cornella while Ikenna remains at La Masia.

In a further sign of his potential, super-agent Pini Zahavi – who represents Robert Lewandowski and manager Hansi Flick – has already taken charge of the 11-year-old’s career.

For a club built on nurturing world-class talent, Destiny Kosiso looks like the next name set to light up the Camp Nou in years to come.
