FC Barcelona has officially launched their away kit for the 2025/26 season, a bold and innovative design that pays homage to the legendary Kobe Bryant.
In collaboration with Nike and Kobe’s brand, the kit fuses Barcelona’s footballing heritage with the iconic “Mamba Mentality” that defined the late NBA star’s career.
The result is a visually stunning ensemble that merges two worlds of sporting excellence.
The kit was unveiled through a dynamic concept video titled “Mamba Rondo,” which showcases Barcelona’s signature rondo training drill, emphasizing quick thinking, possession, and team unity.
Featuring stars from both the men’s and women’s teams, including Alejandro Balde, Gavi, Frenkie de Jong, Alexia Putellas, and Salma Paralluelo, the video captures the essence of Barça’s philosophy while honoring Kobe’s legacy.
The away shirt is a standout in Team Gold, accented with Persian violet and black—colors synonymous with Kobe Bryant’s NBA tenure, as per the official FC Barcelona page.
At its core is the Kobe Sheath logo, presented in a snakeskin-textured, 3D silicone relief, embodying the “Black Mamba” persona.
The Spotify sponsor logo remains prominent in black, with sleeve sponsors differing: Ambilight for the men’s kit and Bimbo for the women’s, both in black.
The accompanying shorts feature a black base with Persian violet accents and a subtle snakeskin print, reinforcing the Mamba theme.
The Barça badge adorns the left leg, while the Kobe Sheath logo sits on the right, just below the player’s number in Team Gold.
The look is completed with black socks boldly displaying “Barça” in violet.
