Barcelona’s preparations for the 2025/26 season are already in motion, even as most of the senior squad enjoy their final days of summer rest.

Following a successful campaign that delivered a domestic treble, Hansi Flick is tasked with maintaining momentum and integrating fresh energy into a group looking to dominate again on all fronts.

The German manager will welcome his players back to training on 13 July, with excitement also building around the team’s full return to the newly renovated Spotify Camp Nou later this year.

With pre-season fixtures scheduled and new signings expected in the coming weeks, all eyes are on how Flick will shape his squad for a campaign that includes another Champions League push.

But while fans await marquee arrivals, Barcelona have made a statement of intent from within — by promoting a wave of homegrown talent to train with the senior team.

According to Diario Sport, eight standout players from La Masia will be joining first-team training at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper this summer.

Among the most notable names is Landry Farre, an 18-year-old defender who can play both at centre-back and right-back, known for his composure and ball progression.

He’ll be joined by Jofre Torrents, a promising left-back also aged 18, as well as attacking midfielder Ibrahim Diarra, who has impressed at youth level with his creativity and dribbling.

Toni Fernandez, just 16, will be one of the youngest participants in pre-season but is regarded as one of the academy’s brightest attacking prospects.

Pedro Fernandez (17), Jan Virgili (18), Guille Fernandez (17), and Juan Hernandez — all of whom can operate in attacking midfield or out wide — round out the list of players handed this opportunity.

Hansi Flick and his coaching staff are keen to assess these youngsters closely, with several first-team roles potentially up for grabs as Barcelona look to maintain squad depth while managing Financial Fair Play constraints.

As always with La Masia, the emphasis remains on developing talent the Barca way — and this summer’s pre-season could be the first step for these eight starlets toward long-term careers at the Camp Nou.
