Diaz is firmly under contract with Liverpool until 2027 and has expressed some interest in a move to Camp Nou, which does bolster Barcelona’s confidence.
However, reports also state that Liverpool will likely value Diaz at €80 million and are monitoring Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, so negotiations could prove slightly difficult.
To finance the transfer, Barcelona is looking at every financial lever, including selling players like Raphinha, who is attracting Premier League interest and could bring in considerable funds.
Should Liverpool lessen its demand, Diaz’s incorporation into Flick’s system will improve Barcelona’s attack with a player who can complement their younger attackers like Lamine Yamal.
